Early May is such a special time of year, and even here in Orkney, where the weather often remains cool, there is abundant growth and fecundity with the longer daylight hours. I call it the 'yellow time' as a wide variety of different shades of yellow flowering plants are in abundance. A reminder of the joy and hope the end of spring and beginning of summer brings.
